We are a very friendly club and cater for ages 9 to 90
We play friendlies on Saturday’s and league matches on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

You would be made very welcome

Female members REQUIRED

We are keen to welcome all new members but would especially like to attract more female members. The Wednesday evening league requires a female team member in each triple.

Can I come and see if I like it before I join?

Yes, you can come and a have a ‘roll up’ (practice) on Wednesday evenings between 6-8pm .

What equipment will I need to buy?

You don’t require a lot of equipment to play bowls.

Flat shoes with soft soles
A set of bowls(woods) You can borrow a set from the club to try before you commit to buying some.
Grey trousers or shorts for league matches.
A hat and sunglasses come in handy on sunny days.

How often would I have to play?

This is entirely up to you.

How much does it cost to join and play?

It costs just £100 per year to become a member. which includes your team shirt and jacket. Subs are paid for each match to pay for teas/suppers/raffles. There is also a £2 per year membership fee to join the Thringstone club which is where we have home teas and suppers and use of the bar and facilities.

Where are matches played?

All in North west Leicestershire, for example Loughborough, Sileby, Syston and Shepshed.
